Doctor Who- #SaveTheDay- 50th aniversary episode

Hello Readers,

Here's me again, and it's time to sum up the history of Doctor's anniversary. Finally new episode, bringing two best (IMHO) actors and adding John Hurt, who plays biggest foe of Tennant & Smith, who is... Doctor himself, trying to destroy Gallifrey. As he steals superior weapon of mass destruction, with so powerful operating system that it has it own mind. And is played played by Billie Tyler, acting like she wanted to show that she is more mind ill  than Jenna Coleman, better known as Clara Oswald. During episode we are finding out more about our favorite Time Lord. Action? As always crazy as hell. Examples? Married with Elizabeth I? Dangerous, alien shapeshifter in form of rabbit? Eeech, nope. Fezzes? Yep. Arguing two Virgin Queens? Damn, it was good. 3D paintings? Looking brilliant. Wish I had one of these. Now a bit of spoiler- tenth and eleventh Doctors are meeting one from age of Time War, so talking to himself is normal. Best role? John Hurt. He is so hilarious, as he talks of midlife crisis, I war rolling on the floor. References to Jack Harkness and American history of changing time? Checked. So it was everything we could want from anniversary special. At end we see, what will the 12th Doctor be doing in new series, as we see all Doctors transfering whole planet to pocket universe (the quote of Time General was great) saving it from destruction by Daleks without using, mentioned some time ago, device of mass destruction.
Summing it up we have one of the best episodes of best sci-fi series ever. Good set of actors and genious mind of Steven Moffat is the best present they may imagine.
Actors: 10/10- no arguing here, although I wish there was more of companions(maybe Jack?)
Plot: 9/10- very good, but Mr. Moffat had written better episodes
summary: 9,5/10- Happy Anniversary Doctor!

R.A Salvatore- The Crystal Shard

Hello Readers
I have always been a great fan of mr. Salvatore's books, and the ones about renegade dark elve, Drizzt Do'Unter are my favorites. They were the first fantasy books I've read in my live. But let's stop telling my reading story, time to review book. Crystal shard is not a usual artifact. As we will read it was created before time by group of undead sorcerers, who died during creation process. Then, powerful demon, Ertu tries to get control of shard, but fails when confronting one of greatest angels, who sends artifact to First Material Plane, where action takes place. When one of worst spellcaster found it, Icewind Dale is in a great danger, as artifact takes control of Akkar Kessel, making him a serious treat to inhibitants of that harsh land. When joined army of orcs, goblins, giants and barbarians march toward Dekapolis, Drizzt and his friends- Wufgar, barbarian captured by dwares from Battlehammer clan, Bruenor Battlehammer, who captured Wulfgar and tought him honor code, Cattie-Brie, Bruenor's adopted human daughter, and Regis, hafling thief must stop oncoming horde, otherwise, they will all die. The story is well written, and action is fast paced with multiple threads. Characters are finest quality, each with long history and having whole specter of emotions. Some of them may look mainstream, but main one , drow who rebelled against his race customs is a creation of master's hand. I enjoyed Salvatore's creation so much that I started to buy all of his books, and it's a lot to read, hell's a lot.
Story: 10/10. Masterpiece. Only next parts are better.
Dramatic Personas: 9/10. Drizzt is a nearly perfect creation, but Wulfgar is a bit too typical.
General Opinion: 9/10 . Great stuff. Nothing more to say.
Thanks for reading,

Samsung Solid GT-B2710. Tough player.

Hello Readers,

Now it's time to review some everyday carried items. This time it will be a phone, that is great, even if it's software and hardware are weaker than old SE K570. It has only 2 MegaPixel camera, and no 3,5 standard mini-jack. Only micro-usb. So why do I love it?  Solid. And all is clear. You can drop it from a ladder into a bucket of water and it'll still work. Photo underwater? No problem, with IPS67 certificate you can have it underwater for no more than 30 minutes and no deeper than 1 meter. None of today's smartphones has such durability (i know there's samsung xcover and motorola stuff, but they are not undestroyable). And the battery. You say that your Iphone is good, because it can survive whole day without charging? I charge solid twice a week. When the battery is half empty. Even when listening to music 2 hours daily.  And it has a flashlight, which turns night into a sunny day. It has such a power that you may hear "My eyes idiot, don't flash" text billion times. Built-in speakers are louder than the one in HTC One. And you can use it in gloves, which is useful during climate warning era. Yesterday morning I thought I would die because of very high temperature of about 5 degrees. Menu is easy to learn(you can navigate without looking at it after 2 months), and phone has auto repair system. Really. When water got inside my phone(lost one of tiny rubber parts) and I dried it i saw screen doesn't work at all. Flashlight too. But after a week a miracle happened and it started working as new.
Question is- who will buy a phone without wi-fi, touch screen and all luxurious stuff? Looking like brick?
The answer is- active people. It is a perfect phone for them, thanks to unical features.
Grades: Practicality:10 out of 10
Style:8 out of 10. I loved it. Some would not.
Hardware:4 out of 10. Bunus equipment(flashlight) saved it from 2.
Final Grade: 7+. But it's a good piece of phone, even when costing not much less than low-spec Android smartphones

The Bourne Dominion review.

Hello Readers,

Finally first book review. We begin with Erick van Lustbader "The Bourne Dominion". It is based on Robert Ludlum Bourne Trilogy. So we have ex-CIA operative with amnesia, a bunch of terrorists, which try to kill Bourne, and a dozen of protagonists, whose job is to keep Jason "The Destroyer" Bourne  safe and to get killed. In this book the terrorists are Severus Domna, a group consisting of both muslims, jews and representatives of west, who tries to take control of world by destabilizing world economy. And because of that, Jason need to arm himself again, fight along with old enemies in order to destroy new ones. For me van Lustbader's version of Bourne adventures are far more exciting than Ludlum's original. Sorry Robert, that's the truth. Plot is quite predictable, but gives much enjoyment, dramatic personas are well build, and as a whole it is a good piece of text. Volume makes it a book not for one afternoon, but rather for a week.
To sum it up:
Plot: Good, nothing to complain except that predictability 8 out of 10
Dramatic Personas: Properly build, with character, cannot complain 9 out of 10
General opinion: Better than original. Grade:8+ out of 10.

"Denied"- music video and song itself

Hello readers,

Here's the first review. And it is about music. Denied is a song of small polish band called "Stoklosa&Riemer Band". It was uploaded to youtube today, so it's as fresh as... well something fresh.  Don't ask me. Don't know. So the song. Listening it, you may think that you've heard it before. Some say it sounds much like Manson. It is a good piece of work, however. I have enjoyed listening it. Even if it can be only a one season song, it it worth to listen. And the music video. Looks cheap. Gunfire looks awful. And story seems to be based on pulp fiction. Found on garage bargain for only few cents/ pennies. The video do not deserve the song.
So, the final grade.
Song:7+ out of 10. It lacks something. Maybe more testicles.
Music video: 5 out of 10. Unless you love low-budget productions, better avoid it.
